i loved this buffet it was home made and very clean
Lunch buffet - breakfast whatever you want to call it at noon was disgusting!!!!
Wow all I can say it amazing. Lots and lots of food and it filled me and family up so much we dident have to eat lunch and were still full for dinner.Food and service are fantastic.I reccomend this place to EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
We went to this restaurant this morning as we were frustrated with over-priced breakfast restaurant at our hotel. We had driven past Almac and thought it looked nice. We were sadly mistaken. This was hands-down the grossest meal I have eaten at a restaurant.
Despite me just wanting a glass of water and me not wanting to pay for over-priced and under-treated bottled water, they did not allow me to get a glass of water. I understand wanting to make money off of your customers, but even when my boyfriend ordered his coffee and asked for a glass of water he was declined. Sheer stupidity. I ended up with a glass of orange juice (mostly out of spite) that was extraordinarily expensive. It made me so mad and really set the tone for the breakfast.
The food was TERRIBLE. The eggs were all sweaty and chewy. The waffles were hard, tough rocks that were completely inedible. Despite me putting my whole strength into cutting the French Toast, it was SO tough I could not cut it. Even the toast was disgusting, hard and flat. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I LOVE breakfast at restaurants, but this was absolutely not even food. It was SO GROSS.
The atmosphere was sort of nice, although the placement of the buffet made enjoying conversation really difficult as people were constantly clanking the metal lids (checking under each lid to see what was inside as there was no signage to help anyone out).
All in all...absolutely horrendous experience. Do not chance it.
BEWARE!!! Aweful service, poor food quailty and very over priced drinks. Not worth the money!!!!!!! Again not worth the money!!!!
I agree with everyone's comments. What restaurant charges you for a glass of water??????? it must be illegal.

The 3 best things about Al Macs Buffet is ample free parking, no waiting to be seated and no one ended up in the hospital.
The sign outside said that breakfast was $6.99 but that does not include drinks. You can’t have tap water because they don’t have water but you can order bottle for $3. Final price is $12.00 per person whether you are young or old. Coffee is $3 and a glass of milk is $4 (the price of 4 litres or 1 gallon at a store). There are no signs or menus to tell you the price of the drinks. You just get surprised at the end of the meal, when they bring you the bill.
It was a scene from Kitchen Nightmares. The selection was far from sufficient for a buffet. There were about 5 of 6 covered trays. The good thing about the food was that it was covered with a big metal cover so you can’t see how bad the food was. You had to remove each cover to reveal what was under the cover. There was two choices for pan cakes, stale old ones that have been sitting for hours and fresh ones with the centre still doughy and uncooked. The French toast on the other hand, was only one choice, stale and old so you needed syrup to try to soften it up so you can cut it and try to chew on it. Bacon was also interested. It was a chewy hard ball of grease. You needed to separate the pieces by hand in order to see the strips. As for the fresh fruit (“items may vary by season” as quoted in their web page), was a large bowl of canned fruit cocktail. “Eggs Your Way (over easy, over hard, boiled, scrambled)” was scrambled. “Country Home Fries” was frozen potato nuggets fried up. “Fresh Baked Muffins” and “Home Made Cakes” must have been the store bought blue berry muffins with no blue berries but blue colouring to look like blue berries. At other fine restaurants like McDonalds, they would have thrown out the food if it’s been sitting for hours. This place must have picked it back up to serve in their buffet.
Poor would be making this place sound good
First place I've been to where ketchup is passed off as BBQ sauce
Poor looks very nice from the outside but go to McDonald it makes it seem like fine dining
